Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of an auto theft in July in Hilo.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of an auto theft in July in Hilo.

A photo taken Tuesday, that shows the woman operating a pickup truck that was stolen on July 30, according to the Hawaii Police Department. The photo was taken shortly after another vehicle theft was committed near the Bayfront area.

Anyone with information about the July 30 should call Officer Jared Cabatu at 961-2213 or the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Those with information about the Tuesday incident should call Officer Chester Franco at 961-2213 or the department’s nonemergency line. Anyone who recognizes the woman in the photo is asked to call any of the above phone numbers.
